Time Lines Melodic Phrases for Unit 8

The Rhythm Patterns of Time Lines Unit 8 are all written on a single line staff and can be performed on one pitch. By changing the pitches of the notes, we can create a melody. The Melodic Phrases in this unit are short melodies that are four measures long and feature ties over measure measure lines in 2/4, 3/4, and 4/4 time signatures. Each Melodic Phrase corresponds to the Rhythm Pattern with the same number. For example, Melodic Phrase M801 has the exact same rhythm as Rhythm Pattern P801, and so on. Even though slurs and ties look very similar, remember that slurs connect two or more pitches that are different, and ties connect pitches that are the same.
